A woman was caught casually stealing designer perfumes worth thousands of pounds before stashing them in a pram.

Agita Cica has been banned from every John Lewis in England and Wales for a year after admitting a spree of thefts that saw her snatch than £2,400 worth of fragrances.

The 27-year-old hid in plain sight while stealing the scents - calmly wheeling a pram through a John Lewis shop in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, while appearing to sample them.

But moments later she was caught on CCTV slipping the boxed perfumes into a bag.

She was seen performing the same routine with other expensive perfumes from a different angle on tape, casually helping herself to more designer brands.

Staff intervened during one of her stealing sprees on August 31, 2023, and the police were called.

She was arrested at the scene and gave officers false details, but they were able to confirm her identity through further checks.

Cica later failed to show up at Stockport Magistrates’ Court in October 2024, triggering a warrant for her arrest.

She then went on the run for more than a year, registering multiple addresses across the country.

Finally, she handed herself in on November 4, 2025, giving up on her bid to evade the police after several nationwide attempts to catch her.

She was given a 12‑month Criminal Behaviour Order, banning her from every John Lewis in England and Wales, after pleading guilty to four counts of theft at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court.

Police Constable Kenneally, of Greater Manchester Police, said: 'Cica's offending was not opportunistic - it was deliberate, organised and persistent.

'Shoplifting is far from a victimless crime.

'It places significant financial pressure on retailers, affects staff safety, and contributes to higher prices for honest shoppers.

'Greater Manchester Police take offences of this nature extremely seriously, and we will continue to work closely with businesses across Stockport to identify offenders, take swift action, and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.'
