Browsing new-season drops is always a risky pastime - at least for my bank balance.

The high street is seriously impressing for autumn/winter, with standout collections from Boden, M&S, John Lewis and Jaeger. 

But one brand firmly deserving the spotlight right now? Jigsaw - long-loved by royalty, including the Princess of Wales, the Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice.

Kate has been spotted wearing Jigsaw countess times, most recently choosing the brand's iconic Maxi City coat for a September engagement. A perennial bestseller, it returns every season thanks to its timeless cut, impeccable tailoring and enduring appeal. 

And who could forget the charming bow accessory she added to her red coat at the 2024 Christmas carol service?

There's also a sentimental thread for the Princess: she once worked at Jigsaw as an accessories buyer before marrying Prince William.
