The Good Life, a new comic book written by Giulia Bruchi and illustrated by Silvia Celiberti, brings findings from the PACES (Making migration and migration policy decisions amidst societal transformations) project to life through the stories of three young people navigating migration decisions.

Following Netsanet from Ethiopia, Dali and his mother Fadia from Algeria, and Amaechi from Nigeria, the comic explores the choices, aspirations and challenges that shape migration journeys. Through their experiences, readers gain insight into the agency people exercise throughout the migration process and the many factors that influence their decisions.

The comic draws on research conducted by 14 institutions across Europe, North America and Africa as part of the PACES project. The research examines how social change, personal experiences and migration policies influence decisions to stay or migrate over time.

Designed for young adults, The Good Life offers an accessible introduction to migration research and is available to read online.
