soft-launching my transformers interest with a friend by casually mentioning dropping my Optimus Prime figure (true, we were on a discord call and they asked what the clatter was) results inconclusive.

just saw an animatic to a song I like. didn’t recognize the characters in the thumbnail and the title didn’t provide context either. Clicked on it wondering ‘oh are these some ocs?’ look in the description. I am immediately faced with the knowledge that the characters are anime girl transformers. Anime girl Optimus prime is putting anime girl Megatron out of his misery. Genuinely spectacular. I enjoyed it. Maybe I should get into transformers if I can pretend there’s tragic Yuri in it

why does youtube so desperately want me to watch shitty content farm elsegate style comic dubs of Optimus prime and Megatron making out sloppy style. stop showing me that. if I wanted that I would go scroll for two minutes in the transformers tag on tumblr, where NORMAL freaks get it. jesus. I already hate normal comic dubs I especially do not want ones with fake moaning overtop stolen fanart

funny thing about my getting into transformers recently is that I did watch some of earthspark I think right after the first season came out. I think I saw a couple ads and though ‘that looks interesting. all I know about transformers is 1. Optimus prime is the good guy 2. Megatron is the bad guy 3. I like bumblebee he’s silly and yellow and cute and I love him and I had a toy of him as kid’ anyways I didn’t really get what was happening but I do remember thinking sound wave was really cool. and I was right. I don’t think I even finished the first season because I got bored lol. maybe my perception of it will change once I’ve caught up to the modern day but from what I’ve heard, probably not much.

hmmm I should find that one animatic again. a while ago I was looking for animatics set to a song I like and saw one that intrigued me. I didn’t recognize the characters and I liked it so I checked the description to see what they were from or if they were OCS or what. And then I found out that what I thought were someones OCS were actually humanized Optimus prime/Megatron tragic yuri. wonderful experience. Frankly iconic
