Armed conflicts in neighbouring countries, along-side local unrest driven by calls for better governance, contributed to heightened uncertainty and concern as the year closed. Many indicators pointed towards increased hardship for communities already facing vulnerability perpetuated by continuous cycles of conflict. Yet even in such complex environments, we remain guided by a commitment to look ahead with hope — identifying opportunities to uphold humanity and alleviate suffering, even in the most difficult circumstances.
