NEW YORK CITY – In celebration of the 128th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence, the Philippine Consulate General in New York and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in New York, in partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) and the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), successfully held “The Filipino Table: A Coconut Feast” at Tradicionale, a Filipino-Spanish restaurant in New York City on 10 June 2026.

Promoted under the Coconut Philippines brand—an initiative advancing the country’s coconut industry by supporting farmers, driving innovation, and expanding global appreciation—the exclusive dinner gathered members of the consular corps, media, culinary professionals, importers, and trade stakeholders.

Guests were welcomed with coconut-based cocktails featuring Boracay Coconut Rum, alongside refreshing servings of Vita Coco Coconut Water, followed by a multi-course dinner consisting of kinilawlaingadobo, and Bicol express all with coconut ingredients.

The multi-course menu reflected both local flavors and colonial influences, highlighting the coconut’s significance in Philippine culture and livelihood.

In their remarks, Consul General Senen Mangalile and Trade Commissioner Alma Argayoso reinforced the Philippines’ position as a global leader in coconut production and value-added exports and encouraged guests to support Philippine coconut products, emphasizing the industry’s vital role in sustaining millions of Filipino farmers and their families.
