Wednesday fans have flooded Netflix with the same complaint as the streaming giant confirmed season two's release date.

Bosses finally shared a major update with fans after they patiently waited for the long-awaited date new episodes will drop.

However, in a major shakeup, Netflix has revealed the series will be split into two parts.

In a social media post alongside a first look trailer, they said part one will be available to stream from August 6 - which is also a Wednesday.

While fans flooded their replies with excited comments, they were in unison over the decision to split the new episodes into two parts.

One bemused viewer said: 'Why must you break all the seasons in parts, Netflix? WHY?'

A second chimed in: 'Interesting they're splitting the season. Wonder if this signals a tonal shift or just Netflix maximizing engagement?'

'Part 1 part 3 part 2 … Yall goofy just release the show together,' said a third.

While a fourth penned: 'Season X part 1... that's stupid for any show you wait more than a year. Stop splitting seasons.'

Netflix have confirmed part two will be available to stream on September 3.

The supernatural mystery comedy, which follows Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), hit screens on the popular streaming platform back in November 2022.

In January 2023, a second instalment was promised but fans have waited two more years for the new series. 

Joining Jenna Ortega is Joanna Lumley and Steve Buscemi for the new season, as well as returning cast member Catherine Zeta-Jones and others.

Speaking about starring in the hit series, Joanna previously told Tudum: 'There's always something thrilling about working for Tim Burton.

'His whole mind takes him to a different world, and the world that they've created here for Wednesday and Nevermore and the family is just intoxicating.

'It's wonderful. I get to wear many, many huge wigs, one on top of the other — and lots of quite constraining clothes, so I love it.'

Wednesday series one is available to stream now on Netflix. 

Meanwhile, in May Jenna Ortega has sparked outrage among Netflix fans after revealing her Wednesday Addams role left her 'unhappy.'

The 22-year-old, who has been acting since 2012, became a household name thanks to her part in the series that.

Unfortunately for fans, the star recently revealed that the role was not as fulfilling for her as it was for them. 

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Ortega revealed that she was 'an unhappy person' once she received all of the attention from Wednesday.

'After the pressure, the attention - as somebody who's quite introverted, that was so intense and so scary.'
