“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life,” the actor said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
Four of the accusers alleged the incidents took place when they were teenagers.
The allegations were recounted in Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, which aired Wednesday, and in an accompanying story published by the outlet.
One of the women claimed she had sex with the Oscar winner at his California home when she was 17. The age of consent in the state is 18.
She said in the documentary that the Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman, who was 34 at the time, “shrugged off” a conversation about her age.
“It wasn’t a huge concern for him,” she claimed, per the BBC. “He told me, ‘I would like you to call me daddy.’ And it was either pretend to be a little girl or ‘my little girl.’
“It was only as time went on that I [realized] more and more how scary that really was,” she added, detailing that the incident took place on her first of three or four visits to the Suicide Squad star’s home.

More accusationsAnother of the women claimed she was sexually assaulted in a motel bathroom when she was also 17, while a third accuser, who was 19 at the time, said Leto threatened her with sexual assault after being left alone with him in a hotel room.
The fourth woman claimed she was groomed by Leto and accused him of abusing his celebrity status by making repeated sexually explicit phone calls to her when she was 16, the outlet reported.
The documentary features a total of 10 women speaking about their alleged experiences with Leto, nine of whom spoke publicly about the alleged incidents for the first time.
The encounters with Leto, now 54, allegedly took place between 2002 and 2016 in multiple cities around the world, according to the documentary.
“This was 25 years ago … he has gotten away with it,” one of his alleged victims said.
‘You have a nice rack’One woman described how she met Leto at a music festival in 2005 when she was 14, when she held out a T-shirt for him to sign.

She recalled how he signed the shirt “across my breasts, and he told me ‘you have a nice rack.’”
“He was asking his bodyguard to go ahead and take me backstage,” she recounted. “He didn’t even ask me if I wanted to go.”
Five women who appear in the documentary said they received “strange,” sexual phone calls from the Masters of the Universe actor, while several said they were asked by Leto’s lawyer to sign NDAs.
The documentary also features two men who worked with Leto’s band for many years, both of whom said they felt uncomfortable about the singer’s interactions with teen girls.
“I think everyone thought the age gap was way too big,” one said.

Her accusations prompted other women to come forward with similar claims over the years, including Leto asking a 16-year-old girl sexual questions, walking out of a room naked in front of a 17-year-old, and exposing himself and masturbating before putting an 18-year-old’s hand “on him.”

The BBC said it had “corroborated a number of the women’s accounts with friends and family who were told about the encounters with Leto at the time.”
The outlet added: “In some cases, we have also seen pictures and messages that support the women’s accounts.”
Leto did not respond to the allegations “put to him by the BBC.”
