Drinking water supply will remain suspended in the following areas of Tiruchi on July 3 because of repair work on the damaged pipeline.

Following a burst in the 600 mm diameter ductile iron main pumping line near Palpannai, the Tiruchi Corporation will undertake the repair work on Thursday. As a result, water supply would be suspended to areas getting supply from the following overhead water tanks: Kallukuzhi (old and new), Jaganathapuram (old and new), Ariyamangalam Ukkadai, South Ukkadai, Sangiliyandapuram (old and new) and Mahalakshmi Nagar.

Regular supply will be restored to these areas from July 4, a Corporation press release said.
