Lauren Sanchez has candidly opened up about her early days as a TV host – detailing her 'fear' and 'embarrassment.'

Sanchez, 56, took to Instagram to share a series of on–air bloopers that showed her repeatedly stumbling over words and apologizing to viewers during her early days as a journalist.

'I made a lot of mistakes on air,' the wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos captioned the post.

'You can see me laugh and say oops. (A lot) But behind that smile? Fear. Embarrassment,' she revealed.

The author added that critics told her that she didn't 'deserve to be there.'

'That one hurt,' she admitted. 'I tried not to show it and I just kept showing up every single day.'

Sanchez said she still messes up words and has to reread sentences 'three or four times' sometimes but is no longer embarrassed about her learning disability. 

'Took me a long time to get here,' she said.

'If you or your kid is struggling with dyslexia, know this: you may learn differently, but different doesn't mean less capable,' she encouraged.

'Oops is the sound of progress.'

'Me: progress not perfection. Also me:..' she wrote on the video, above the series of clips.

Followers praised the anchor for her honesty about her experience with dyslexia, flooding her comment section. 

'Everyone can learn from this not just children. How it is so important not to let obstacles define one's life path or prevent one from achieving anything in life. This is especially important for adults as it is more difficult to be a beginner or make a mistake especially in the professional setting,' one person wrote. 

'Thank you for sharing your dyslexia journey. It's very inspiring and I no longer feel ashamed or embarrassed to talk about my own journey. You rock!' gushed someone else.

'You are an inspiration to not only women, everyone who has dyslexia. Thank you,' praised someone else. 

Last week, Sanchez also shared some tips as to how she deals with her dyslexia and ADHD. 

'Took me years to figure out what works for my brain. (And I'm still learning new ways),' she wrote.

Her tips included listening to audiobooks and writing everything down multiple times to memorize it.

Sanchez had initially pursued a career in aviation after finishing high school.

She moved to LA to apply for a job as a stewardess – but was turned away and told she was 'too big' to be a flight attendant, despite only weighing 121 pounds.

However, a determined Sanchez used her devastation to fuel her, and when she turned her focus to journalism after that, she quickly rose through the ranks. 

Sanchez began her career in a small news outlet in Phoenix, Arizona, before moving to Extra, followed by Fox Sports Net and Good Day LA. 

She was nominated for an Emmy in 1999 for her show on Fox Sports Net, Going Deep, and won an Emmy Award as the anchor on KCOP–TV's UPN News 13.

In March, the journalist shared that she did not know she had the learning disability until she was 19, adding that she 'hid it' for a long time. 

She also said that her community college teacher, Lori, urged Sanchez to get tested for dyslexia after she told her, 'You're not dumb, you just can't spell.'

Then she talked about her son, Evan Whitesell, and his journey with the learning disability.

Sanchez recounted her children saying speeches during her wedding to Jeff Bezos last June, which she said was 'extremely important to him.'

The mom added that she had 'no idea what he was going to say.'

Sanchez nearly cried as she shared the story of how her son, in the fourth grade, told himself he could do it when he was struggling to spell in class.

She added that it was the 'most meaningful and impactful moment at my wedding... besides getting married to Jeff,' she laughed.

And now, she has said that Evan saying 'I can do it' has inspired her so much that she has a sign in her home with those words.
