Jeff Bezos has transformed his 'Billionaire Bunker' into a real-life Amazon with a dazzling canopy of tropical trees and a multimillion-dollar makeover. Exclusive Daily Mail photos reveal how the tech mogul, 61, has packed the lawn of his $90million property on Florida's ultra-exclusive Indian Creek Island with oaks, royal palms and dense greenery to create the feel of an exotic botanical garden. A professional arborist supervised every step of the lush landscaping project to ensure that dozens of Brazilian Beauty-Leafs, imported Japanese yews and Gumbo Limbos arrived with their roots undamaged.

Adding to the garden are several striking statues dotted around the estate that closely resemble the famous bulging bronze figurines by Colombian artist Fernando Botero. Fitness fanatic Bezos has also installed a resort-standard pickleball court to indulge his love of the trendy sport he likes to play with his new wife Lauren Sanchez , 55. Plans and schematics obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail reveal that indoor renovations to the mansion are every bit as extensive.

Almost every room inside the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom waterfront residence in Florida's in Miami-Dade County has been ripped out and replaced since the tycoon snapped up the property in April 2024. New features underway for the lovebirds include a sauna, spa and hot tub, a firepit and a poolside cabana office for the busy Amazon CEO who is said to be worth around $254billion. The property's massive garage was fortified with industrial-strength doors at a cost of $103,000 and transformed into a home gym, according to village permits.

Despite all the work, the 12,000 square-foot home may only be a temporary stop gap until Bezos builds an entirely new home across two more plots he owns elsewhere in the VIP enclave close to Miami Beach. Bezos bought 11 and 12 Indian Creek Island Road in quick succession back in 2023. The neighboring homes set him back a combined $147million, but his rumored long-term goal has always been to demolish both and replace them with one huge mega mansion.

The rumored project will likely take years to come to fruition, however, seeing as no formal plans or applications have been submitted. Known informally as the 'Billionaire Bunker,' Indian Creek has become the go-to retreat for tech moguls, hedge funders and high-net-worth celebrities seeking maximum privacy, 24/7 security and luxury waterfront living. Wealthy denizens include Jared and Ivanka Kushner, Tom Brady and investor Carl Icahn. But it's Bezos who has consolidated a quarter billion-dollar hold on the 300-acre island which has a police department, invitation-only golf course and an estimated population of 89.

Months after he purchased the two homes, Bezos set his sights down the street and bought 28 Indian Creek Island Road in an off-market deal worth a reported $90million. He made number 28 his primary residence. Bezos announced he was leaving his longtime base - a sprawling Seattle-area compound - for Florida to live closer to his mom, Jackie, who died in August at 78 years old, and adoptive father Miguel. 'My parents have always been my biggest supporters. They recently moved back to Miami, the place we lived when I was younger,' Bezos wrote on Instagram. 'I want to be close to my parents, and Lauren and I love Miami. Also, Blue Origin's operations are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral. For all that, I'm planning to return to Miami, leaving the Pacific Northwest.'

Bezos has a vast property portfolio stretching from coast to coast, including a Texas ranch and homes in LA, New York, Washington, DC, and Maui. He also spends much of his time aboard his opulent 417ft sailing yacht, Kuru - worth around $500million and reportedly modeled on the fictional Black Pearl from Pirates of the Caribbean. Still, he's not the biggest spender when it comes to Indian Creek Island. A mystery international financier dropped an astounding $105million on lot 9 earlier this year - an undeveloped, less-than-two-acre parcel next door to the two unoccupied Bezos properties.

German property mogul Mikhail Peleghad had sought as much as $200million for the lot, marketing the land as a chance to live next door to one of the planet's most influential men. The asking price was eventually slashed to $150million and later $130million - still a remarkable profit on the $27.5million he paid for it in 2018. Kushner and First Daughter Ivanka purchased their nearby home on Indian Creek for $24million in April 2021 and spent more than two years renovating it.

Billionaire Icahn paid $7.5million for his mansion in 1997, while Colombian banker Jaime Gilinski assembled five properties to build his family a compound. Football great Brady , 48, and his then-supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen were building an 'eco-mansion' in the ultra-secure community prior to their split. Brady, now a Fox Sports pundit, caused a stir in May when he was seen stripping off for some naked sunbathing on the roof of his newly completed pad where he now lives alone. A spokesperson for Bezos has not replied to the Daily Mail's request for comment.
