Joe Rogan has lifted the lid on what makes Donald Trump a 'very different' president. 

The 58-year-old, who has been a ringside announcer for the martial arts organization since the 1990s, backed Trump, 79, in last year's presidential election in a last-minute endorsement over Democratic nominee Kamala Harris. 

However, on the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which was named the most-listened-to podcast in the world on Spotify earlier this week, Rogan admitted that the Commander-in-Chief was 'odd.' 

The commentator, who has met the President on multiple occasions at UFC events and attended the January inauguration, was discussing Trump with guest, tech billionaire Jensen Huang.

Huang, the founder, president and chief executive of Nvidia, was recounting a time when he was with Trump, who was discussing his grand plans for a UFC event at the White House when the President suddenly decided he wanted to call Rogan.

The tech mogul's tale sent Rogan into a fit of laughter with the podcaster adding: 'He's like a kid. He's like a 79-year-old kid. 

'He's an odd guy. Just very different than what you'd expect from him, very different thank what people think of him. And also just very different as a president. The guys just calls or texts you out of the blue. Also when he texts you, he makes the text go big.' 

Huang agreed admitting that he was left surprised by Trump after meeting with him for the first time.    

'One-on-one, President Trump surprised me,' he said. 'He's an incredibly good listener. Almost everything I've ever said to him, he's remembered.'

Rogan agreed but also admitted that he did not support everything that Trump did in office, adding: 'People only want to look at negative stories or negative narratives on him.

'I mean you can catch anyone on a bad day. there are a lot of things he does that I don't think he should do. I don't think he should say to a reporter, "Quiet, piggy." That's pretty ridiculous. Also, objectively funny. It's unfortunate that it happened to her, I wouldn't want that to happen to her but it was funny. 

'But he's an interesting guy. A lot of different things wrapped up into one person.'

Trump snapped at Catherine Lucey, Bloomberg’s White House correspondent, last month when she attempted to question him on the Epstein files during a press gaggle onboard Air Force One. 

Rogan's praise for the President's character marks a contrast to his recent comments on Trump's policies. 

The notorious podcaster, who gave an 11th hour endorsement of Trump in the 2024 election, broke from the MAGA crowd in recent weeks when he reupped his criticism of ICE raids. 

'You got ICE raids, where they're taking people that are American citizens and they're scaring the s*** out of everybody,' Rogan said in his November 18 episode with fellow podcaster Theo Von – both who attended Trump's second inauguration.

In an episode last month with comedian Duncan Trussell, Rogan called Trump's ICE policies 'horrific' and added, 'Everybody who has a heart sees that and goes, "That can't be right"... Have some heart!'

Rogan is leading the chorus of conservative voices who are turning on the brutal tactics used by ICE to round up and deport illegal immigrants – specifically those who are not convicted criminals.

The ICE issue is also hitting Trump's approval rating, the new poll reveals.

Among the 55 percent who disapprove of Trump's job as President, 41 percent of them put the actions of ICE and immigration enforcement as one of their top three reasons for the negative ranking.
