The GSX is where it is at. Supercar acceleration. Sure the ZR1X is infinitely cool. But what are you gonna do with it?

This morning as we were catching up the day’s news, we saw several new driving review articles for the all-new 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X. So far, we have two websites along with Auto Focus YouTuber Marques Brownlee showcasing the newest C8 Corvette.

This small rollout of reviews and driving impressions comes on the heels of last week’s latest video from Savage Geese where they track tested the Grand Sport with the Z52 Track Package at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL. MotorTrend also has a driving impressions video of the Grand Sport model as its taken for a drive on Route 66. But other than that, it’s been relatively quiet which is somewhat of a surprise now that C8 production numbers show that 35% of all new Corvettes produced are Grand Sports.

Despite the lack of professional reviews for the Grand Sport and GSX, this new one from the Auto Focus channel provides plenty of information for those interested in the new AWD Corvette. We do like how Marques Brownlee does his auto reviews, which usually starts with him walking out of the wilderness and going to straight into what he likes about the latest Corvette. In this video, he has a Pitch Gray Grand Sport X which he is calling the most drivable supercar available.

Even if the C8’s window stickers inflated sharply after the original Stingray started below $60,000 back in 2020, comparisons to anything remotely close in raw performance terms still don’t make much sense. The GSX firmly sits in supercar territory, and yet also serves quite easily as a happy daily driver (with a frunk, unlike the ZR1 or ZR1X!).
