Megyn Kelly has called for actress Demi Moore to be shamed for her ultra-slim frame following her 'shocking' appearance at the Cannes Film Festival . The actress turned heads while attending the red carpet for The Electric Kiss film on Tuesday as she stepped out in a strapless, sequin Jacquemus dress. The peplum-inspired dress hugged The Substance actress' body, while exposing her bony shoulders and extremely skinny arms. 'She's shockingly thin,' Megyn Kelly commented on her show on Wednesday. 'She looks, truly, anorexic... She is skin and bones.' Kelly took particular offense to images of Moore with her arms outstretched, which showcased just how svelte the 63-year-old Hollywood starlet had gotten.
'She looks like a Holocaust victim,' Kelly lamented. 'Forgive me, but I mean, it's just barely any muscle. 'This should not be celebrated,' she continued. 'I don't want to condemn her, because I think there's something she's dealing with, something emotionally, obviously, but we need to speak out and say no, no, no, no, that's not healthy, and it's not attractive.' 'With all due respect, I think we actually need to shame it and say it's unattractive, because without that added layer of shaming it, you're not going to stop young girls from wanting to emulate it,' Kelly added. Moore is a jury member of this year's festival, meaning she is among the cohort judging the films debuting at the ritzy event to determine to who wins the Palme d'Or, the highest award.
The nine-member jury for feature films comprises of: Directors Park Chan-Wook, Laura Wandel, Diego Céspedes, Chloé Zhao, actors Moore, Ruth Negga, Isaach de Bankolé, Stellan Skarsgård, and writer Paul Laverty. Moore has attended several red carpet events at this year's event, including the La Vie D’Une Femme (A Woman’s Life) screening, where she recreated a look she wore to The Matrix Reloaded premiere in 2003. The purple floor-length gown mimicked a shiny top she wore two decades ago. The purple Gucci design featured an off-the-shoulder chiffon look with matching sleeves that went from armpit to wrist. She paired the look with matching purple stilettos.
The famous film festival goes until May 23. This isn't the first time Kelly has called out celebrities for getting increasingly thinner as weight loss drugs, like Ozempic, take over Hollywood . In December, she hit out at Ariana Grande, who has faced backlash and concerns over her weight since the Wicked premiere, for becoming 'dangerously thin.' 'She is very clearly anorexic. If she’s 90 pounds, it’s a lot. She looks like you could snap her in two with your fingers,' Kelly said about the Dangerous Woman singer. In April, the former Fox star also took aim at singer Meghan Trainor , calling her 'literally unrecognizable.' 'Meghan Trainor, who celebrated body positivity, even for the larger size girls, to this – we've got Meghan Trainor, who is as skinny as they come,' she said on her show. 'If she's 120 pounds, it's a lot, putting further evidence to the lie that she was telling us before. She didn't think she was "perfect from the bottom to the top," that was a bunch of nonsense,' she said, quoting Trainor's song. 'She wanted to be skinny all along.'
