An incredulous Megyn Kelly has declared her support for Hillary Clinton - after the former first lady called a halt to her closed-door Jeffrey Epstein proceedings because a photo was leaked to the media. 'All right, so write it down in the calendar. What's today? March 3rd. I'm in agreement with Hillary Clinton,' Kelly proclaimed after laying out the strange saga on Tuesday's Megyn Kelly Show. Minutes before, she introduced a clip of Clinton’s since-released deposition. 'Here's Hillary in the moment that's getting a lot of attention because she, um- I got to say this was kind of [expletive],' Kelly said as an opener.

The footage showed Clinton being told about the leak from Colorado Republican Lauren Boebert in real time - a revelation that left her furious. Kelly explained how Boebert sent a single photo of Clinton testifying to the House Oversight Committee to conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, who then put it on his social media accounts during the deposition. Kelly said the former secretary of state's frustration was warranted, speaking frankly on the subject despite being a longtime critic. 'Well, the depo was going to be made public. It was understood and agreed that it was going to be made public - the videotape of it. So it doesn't make it really like a capital offense, what she did,' Kelly began. 'But... I'm not going to lie, it was a classless thing to do.

'Follow the rules of the depo. All right? Like, you may hate Hillary Clinton, but she's the former Secretary of State. She did show up. She's answering the questions. Like [expletive]' just go along with the protocol. 'And it's not up to you to upend the whole situation by taking a snapshot and leaking it.' Kelly disclaimed that she thought Johnson 'did nothing wrong,' before adding, 'But I don't think Lauren Boebert should have done that. 'But okay, she did,' Kelly continued. 'And when Hillary found out about it, because it hit social media seconds thereafter, and that they had violated the agreement between Hillary's team and the House Oversight Committee, she wasn't happy.'

Kelly said of Clinton's decision to storm out of the private hearing: 'I'm going to shock you, but she was right. 'Like, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm on her side... Like, these things are always negotiated. I've taken countless depositions, and they're always negotiated,' the journalist continued. 'The terms of what's going to be available, what's going to be publicly available, what's on the record, what's not, but all the stuff. 'And it's the subject of countless phone calls and letter writing with the lawyers before the event, and everyone there is expected to live up to the terms.' 'And we were always going to see Hillary on tape offering her testimonial.

'So there was no reason for it. Okay? There was no reason for it. And I think Lauren Boebert jeopardized the day's proceedings with a stupid thing that was kind of pointless,' Kelly concluded. The remarks were noteworthy due to Kelly's past criticism of Clinton and her politics. Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, was grilled by House Republicans and Democrats a few days earlier, on Friday. Both denied any knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. Neither have been charged with any crimes. In the same episode, Kelly called former President Clinton's deposition 'Brutal. Just brutal.' 'I was so uncomfortable watching the whole thing.'

During the deposition, the ex-commander-in-chief clashed with Rep. Nancy Mace after the former claimed he had and has no 'interest in underage' women. 'I didn't say underage, I said young,' Mace shot back. 'But it's still not true,' Clinton said - to which the congresswoman said: 'Is an intern young?' Clinton was famously impeached by the House during his presidency over lying under oath about having a sexual relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. The former president admitted: 'Yes.' Kelly also produced a 1999 photo of former President Clinton on the broadcast.

'He is looking down the chest of my friend Meg Florence. And that's my other friend in the foreground, Abby Ripman,' Kelly explained. 'So, Meg and Abby might dispute your statement that you don’t like them young. I saw it myself.' Republicans named in the so-called Epstein files are also facing scrutiny, with the Trump cabinet member Howard Lutnick agreeing to be deposed last Tuesday.
