Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučić, met with the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates' armed forces, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In addition to the economic relations between the two countries, the expected transformation of NIS's ownership structure was also discussed. After the meeting, the Serbian president confirmed that the oil company had been a key topic of discussion.

"Of course, we talked about the Serbian Oil Company," Vučić confirmed at a press conference after the meeting.

When asked whether the talks with the Sheikh had already determined which investor would be permitted to purchase the Russian-owned stake in NIS, the Serbian President responded enigmatically.

I already know, but I can't reveal it yet,

he said.

Journalists asked whether the Hungarian company Mol or the Emirati partners were closer to acquiring the Russian ownership shares in NIS.

It could be either, we will see. The decision will be made public in two or three days,

he said.

Based on the president's statements,

an official announcement regarding the restructuring of NIS ownership is expected in the coming days.

In anticipation of this announcement, Mol shares have rallied, reaching levels not seen since 2019.
