WASHINGTON, July 4. /TASS/. US leader Donald Trump is confident that the United States will never become a communist country.

"America will never be a communist country," he said during a speech at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota on the occasion of the United States Independence Day.

"You can be loyal to Karl Marx, or you can be loyal to America. You can be a communist or you can be a patriot, you cannot be both."

According to Trump, there is "a resurgence of the communist menace" in the United States, including from "newcomers" to the country.
