LONDON, August 6. /TASS/. The United Kingdom has expanded its anti-Russian sanctions list with 19 entries, adding 12 companies, including seven banks, one individual, and six vessels, according to a document published by the UK Foreign Office.
TASS has compiled the main facts about the new restrictions.

If accounts belonging to blacklisted companies are discovered in British banks, they will be frozen, while individuals involved will be prohibited from entering the country.
Who was added to sanctions listOzon Bank, Roseximbank, Center-invest bank, Realist Bank, Bank Stavr, Teleport Bank, and Oney Bank were placed under restrictions.
Sanctions were also imposed against Northern Engineering, Metallkomplekt, Nikom, Promsiz, and Technolux companies.
Moreover, Alexander Zhdanov, the owner of Siltron, was included on the blacklist.
ResponseOzon Bank continues to operate as usual, the credit institution’s press service told TASS.
The bank holds no assets abroad, conducts no operations outside Russia, serves clients within the country, and does not use the SWIFT system, relying solely on Russian financial infrastructure, the press service noted.
Therefore, the new sanctions measures will not impact Ozon Bank, the press service stressed.
Previous sanctionsOn July 13, the UK imposed sanctions on GRU (the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces) officers allegedly involved in cyber operations against London, as well as on the Rybar military analytical center.
In total, London then expanded its anti-Russian sanctions list by 10 entries and added 14 new names to the list related to cybersecurity issues.
On June 16, UK authorities expanded the sanctions list against Moscow by 43 entries, imposing restrictions on 32 legal entities and 11 individuals.
At that time, London imposed sanctions on nine individuals it considers to be officers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian General Staff.
Twenty-seven vessels allegedly linked to Russia were also targeted with sanctions, including three liquefied natural gas tankers.
In addition, the UK added Yandex Bank and WB Bank, as well as Vyatich bank and Evrofinance Mosnarbank, to its anti-Russian sanctions list.
The United Kingdom also added insurance companies Rosgosstrakh and Balance Insurance to its blacklist.
The stated grounds included deriving benefits from the activities of the Russian government or providing support to it by operating in a sector of strategic importance to the government, namely, the Russian financial services sector.
