More than 100 people are losing their jobs after the sale of a self-storage firm in the Denver Tech Center.

Public Storage, which acquired Greenwood Village-based National Storage Affiliates Trust on Wednesday, told the state the same day that it is laying off 107 former NSA employees between now and next summer.

Job titles impacted this month include NSA’s chief marketing officer, director of investments and director of operations. NSA’s headquarters was at 8400 E. Prentice Ave.

All of the employees will receive at least 60 days’ severance, according to Public Storage, which didn’t respond to a request for comment.

NSA had just under 1,500 employees at the end of last year.

Public Storage, which is based outside Dallas, Texas, announced in March that it had reached a deal to buy NSA for $10.5 billion. The company said it expected $110 million to $130 million in “annual synergies,” some of which would come through administrative changes.

The combined company has about 4,500 facilities. At the end of last year, Public Storage had 3,533 in 40 states, while NSA had 1,063.
