A mother and daughter had been horseback riding in the mountains when they discovered something very strange indeed.

The area around Mount Shasta has always been steeped in mystery and intrigue.

Said by some to be home to a secret subterranean civilization who descended from the ancient Lemurians, the region has long been associated with unexplained phenomena.

Recently, California resident Karrie Ann Snure and her daughter had been horseback riding through the mountains when they started to hear strange noises echoing through the area.

After a time, they came across a number of solar-powered Bluetooth speakers in the ground.

Intrigued, they continued onward until they found even more speakers - hundreds of them.

Some were producing strange sounds, while others were playing a sermon-like recording.

They ultimately discovered an entire field of speakers, all playing strange, otherworldly noises.

The find made absolutely no sense - who had placed them there and for what purpose ?
