Turkey is facing a fresh warning from Yemen's Houthis as Ankara deepens defence and security cooperation with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The Houthis have warned Turkey against joining Saudi Arabia's military campaign in Yemen, threatening retaliation if Ankara intervenes in the conflict. The warning comes as Turkey moves closer to Riyadh through a new joint defence pact and considers participation in a Saudi-led coalition aimed at protecting Red Sea maritime security. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Iran is not the target of the Mecca defence pact and described the agreement as defensive in nature, with provisions similar to NATO's Article 5.
