Married At First Sight star Evelyn Ellis has broken her silence after weeks of speculation surrounding her relationship with boyfriend Duncan James.

The 30-year-old reality star insisted reports the couple had split were 'not true' after fans began questioning why they had not been seen together on social media in recent months.

Speaking to Nine.com.au, Evelyn laughed off the rumours and said people had wrongly assumed she and Duncan had to spend every moment together.

'I find it so funny that some people can't comprehend that couples have their own interests and identities sometimes,' she said.

'I feel that people think me and Duncan are joined at the hip, but that's not true.'

The comments come after the pair sparked split rumours after leading increasingly separate lives over the past two months.

Fans had noticed the couple had not appeared together on Instagram since April, while Evelyn documented her glamorous European summer attending the Cannes Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix and luxurious holidays in Greece.

Meanwhile, Duncan, 41, remained in Sydney, sharing updates about work, fitness and his cybersecurity company, CyberAi.

The lack of interaction between the pair prompted concerned followers to question the state of their romance.

'Is she single now?' one fan commented beneath Evelyn's latest Instagram post.

Another asked: 'Where is Duncan lately?' while a third joked: 'Someone has to work.'

A source previously told Daily Mail Australia the couple appeared to be on different paths despite there being no dramatic fallout.

'They're definitely living very different lives at the moment. Evelyn is embracing the international party scene, travelling from event to event across Europe, while Duncan is back in Sydney focused on work and routine,' the insider said.

'They're in completely different places in life. Evelyn is chasing opportunities overseas and loving every minute of it. Duncan is much more settled and career-focused back home.'

'No one is saying there's been a dramatic breakup or cheating scandal. It's more that they've naturally drifted apart as their priorities have changed.'

However, Evelyn has now made it clear her solo adventures were simply a girls' trip mixed with work commitments.

'I believe everyone should follow their dreams, take risks and have adventures with your girlfriends even when you're in a relationship,' she said.

Despite the rumours, the influencer has also hinted her relationship could be heading towards its next chapter.

Earlier this week, she shared a video of herself enjoying cocktails in Europe alongside the caption: 'Having my hot girl summer because it might be the last before I'm somebody's mum.'

The post appeared to suggest the couple may be thinking about settling down and starting a family.

Duncan's most recent Instagram post featuring Evelyn dates back to May, when he shared a throwback image of the pair enjoying an outdoor sunset bath during what he described as their first trip together in 2023.

Evelyn has spent much of the past two months travelling through Europe after departing Australia in early May.

She returned to the French Riviera for a second consecutive year as a VIP guest of beauty giant L'Oréal Paris at the Cannes Film Festival, where she dazzled in a dramatic black Ryan Patros gown adorned with shimmering beadwork and a feathered train.

The reality star later joined fellow influencers aboard a luxury yacht for the Monaco Grand Prix before holidaying with friends in Greece.

Evelyn and Duncan confirmed their romance in May 2023, several months after appearing on season 10 of Married At First Sight.

Although they were originally matched with other partners during the experiment, with Evelyn marrying Rupert Bugden and Duncan paired with Alyssa Barmonde, the pair formed a close friendship after filming wrapped before eventually falling in love.

Announcing their relationship at the time, Evelyn described finally going public as 'exhilarating' and 'freeing'.
