It's the Met Gala deep-fake fashion trend that's gone viral.

And now, former Married at First Sight bride Jules Robinson has got in on the act with a cringey AI fake of her own 'arriving' at the celebrated event.

The 44-year-old took to Instagram to post a picture supposedly taken at the A-list charity event in New York that featured the likes of Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie.

Seen posing against the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, Jules looks glamorous in a sheer cape and a dazzling gown with embroidered crystals.

The fake photo certainly fooled many of the mother-of-two's followers, with many messaging the influencer with praise for her fashion.

'Jules, you are just beautiful,' wrote one fan, while another added, 'Such a cute pic.'

However, several followers caught on to Jules' cheeky post, with one writing, 'Oh, you are hilarious.'

'It's AI,' one spoilsport said on the post, after a follower asked Jules, 'Wow, did you go to the Met Gala?'

Met Gala fake images first caught the attention of fans in 2024 when AI-generated photos of A-listers like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry 'arriving' for the event went viral.

Many of the bogus pictures featured the celebrities supposedly hitting the red carpet at the celebrated fashion event, dressed in highly 'creative' – but fake – outfits.

And this week's Met Gala did not escape the trolls, with Gigi Hadid's father, Mohamed, sharing an AI-generated photo of his daughter, which he believed was her at the event.

The property mogul, 77, branded the fake look a 'classic Hadid moment' as he gushed over her white and gold outfit, which was created using AI.

The synthetic image showed 'Gigi' in a dramatic gown with puff sleeves and a long train on a stunning dress, which was decorated with a floral gold pattern.

Alongside the selection of pictures, Mohamed had written: 'She looks like she came out of a frame from the museum. A classic Hadid moment.'

Gigi Hadid's father Mohamed suffered a hilarious faux pas by sharing an AI-generated photo of his daughter which he believed was her at the Met Gala (pictured)

Mohamed wasn't far off with his statement, as the photo was a piece of art – just a computer-generated one.

After Mohamed accidentally shared a fake image of Gigi, it was later revealed that she actually attended wearing a sparkling sheer dress.

Pop star Katy Perry gave the Met Gala AI trend a sharp dig when she appeared at the event in a futuristic outfit that featured a metallic face mask.

She also donned six-fingered gloves as a protest against the AI trend.

The moment was later shared on X, with many followers seeing the performer's antics as a nod to her fake image going viral during the 2024 Met Gala, which she did not in fact attend.
