On July 24 and 25, archers gathered at Loveland Ski Area for the seventh annual Elevation Archery Challenge, North America’s highest 3D archery tournament. 

Competitors started out by riding the Chet’s Dream chairlift to nearly 12,000 feet above sea level, then made their way down courses while shooting at realistic 3D targets. 

Also offered at the event was a kids course, allowing younger archers to participate alongside more experienced athletes. 

Meanwhile, participants of all ages helped to give back to Easterseals, a disability services organization and one of the competition’s partners. Proceeds from the tournament went to Rocky Mountain Village, Easterseals’ fully accessible camp for children and adults with disabilities. 

Loveland Ski Area says they plan to host the event again next year.
