Man killed in West Philadelphia shooting

A man was killed in a shooting Friday morning in West Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Police said the shooting occurred around 9 a.m. in the 5000 block of Brown Street.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound on the highway. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition, where he died shortly after, according to officials.
There’s no word on any arrests or a possible motive.
The investigation is ongoing.
