Three people, who are related, were found dead inside a property in Ballymena on Monday.

THE PSNI HAS repeated its appeal for information after the double murder of a woman and her eight-year-old daughter in Co Antrim.

The woman (39) and child were found dead at a house in Ballymena on Monday 13 July.

A 41-year-old man was also found dead at the property in the Cullybackey Road area.

All three were related, and were originally from Poland, although the girl is understood to have been born in Northern Ireland.

A vigil was held in their memory in Ballymena on Wednesday.

The PSNI has launched a murder investigation following into the deaths of the woman and her daughter, and a spokesperson said the PSNI will investigate the death of the 41-year-old man alongside this.

Meanwhile, the PSNI said it is “keen to offer assurance that there is no ongoing risk to the public” and that it is “not looking for anyone else in connection with our investigation”.

The PSNI’s detective inspector Dickson added: “My thoughts at this time are with family members and friends, who have understandably been left both shaken and heartbroken.

“This absolute tragedy has saddened the lives of so many, from loved ones to the wider community, and will be felt for many years to come.

“Family members, who are left trying to come to terms with their loss, have asked for privacy at this difficult time.”
