The Hayden Public Library has announced Kai Snyder is its eigth “Reader of the Week” for 2026.

His favorite book is “The Swiss Family Robinson” by Johann Daivd Wyss. Kai’s friend is Bridger. In school, his favorite class is gym. Kai would like to be an engineer when he grows up.

Kai’s advice to other kids about reading: “When you start, it’s kind of hard, but once you get going, it is really easy!” When he found out he was Reader of the Week, Kai was excited.

His favorite color is orange and his favorite food is pizza. Kai has 3 sisters and 2 cats named Toast and Luna. In his free time, he likes to read his scooter, play video games and build with LEGOs. His favorite sport is baseball.
