Looking at past posts and even some other posts elsewhere, I've been noticing how there were fans in the past that got on Tommy's case for how he treated Lance and claimed he was being a dick towards him throughout the entire storyline. Well sh*t. I must not have played the game for so long. So I replayed the game's storyline, and I analyzed the characters' interactions, and I've come to the final conclusion: the folks defending Lance and sh*tting on Tommy... yeah, uh, let me be blunt here...
THEY'RE FULL OF sh*t!!
Because I analyzed the entire storyline, and from what I've seen, Tommy treated Lance normal to me. There are actually folks who claimed that Lance was "so friendly to Tommy." Uh, friendly? Let's rewind, shall we?
Lance: Oh way to go, tough guy! Beat him to a pulp! That should make him real chatty.
Wow. How friendly. (sarcasm)
While I will admit that Tommy was a bit harsh in his response, Lance basically baited himself to that reaction by approaching him with sarcasm. Overall, Tommy just simply told Lance to go away, until he realized he was about to be ambushed by three more chefs. That time, Tommy followed, didn't reject Lance's offer or anything. Don't see how that is the guy who "treated Lance like sh*t since Day 1."
They secondly encounter each other in the mission "Guardian Angels", in which Tommy simply asked if Lance was actually useful. Still don't see how he "treated Lance like sh*t since Day 1."
The mission "Phnom Penh '86" simply has Tommy telling Lance that he could handle Diaz by planning his assassination on him carefully, and then working with Lance to complete the mission. Still can't see how it's someone who "treated Lance like sh*t since Day 1."
The next mission they interact, "Supply & Demand", has Tommy guessing that Lance thought Tommy needed a guardian angel, but still deciding to work alongside Lance in the mission. Nowhere did I see anything where Tommy "treated Lance like sh*t since Day 1."
I know what people are gonna say.

Because Lance screwed up Tommy's meticulous plan to execute Diaz because he was too hellbent on revenge to wait patiently and thought he could take on Diaz on his own.
"Tommy was being selfish during that moment for trying to wait instead of helping Lance killing Diaz right away"
No seriously. I actually came across a user on the Internet who really commented that. They claimed Tommy wanted to murder Diaz his way and that he was being selfish for not killing Diaz right away with Lance. You dumbasses do know that had Tommy did that, that would get him (and Lance) shredded to pieces by Diaz's men, right? How the f*ck could that be considered selfish?! Tommy was simply planning out the right moves to execute Diaz, and Lance, like the dumbass he is, f*cked it all up by thinking he could take out Diaz alone.
Because Lance was sitting on his ass drinking when he should have been doing his job as Tommy's partner along with him. Oh, but it don't end there. Here's something else I read what someone typed.
"Tommy was being selfish here because he wanted it done by his time instead of trusting Lance to do it whenever he wants his time to do"
It's not called being selfish. It's called trying to get results. Seriously, do any of you dumbass actually get the context of the mission itself? Protecting the racket requires enforcement for successful cash flow, therefore if the job wasn't done right away, the DBP would have stolen the Vercetti territory, thus the business would have been permanently lost. So waiting around wasn't an option! It had to be done right away!
You want to know what's really ironic of this? VIC, LANCE'S OWN BROTHER, was the exact same way towards Lance in GTA Vice City Stories, hell even harsher to Lance than Tommy ever was. Hell, Vic actually threatened to SHOOT Lance if he didn't help him rescue his woman. I don't recall Tommy EVER going through that level of threat towards Lance. Yet for some reason, folks give Vic a pass for something they blame Tommy for doing. Tommy, conversely, told Lance over the phone if he screws up, Lance is free to call him out on it. In reality, Tommy treated Lance like a real, fair partner. Lance was just too delusional to accept being 2nd to Tommy.
Here is the reality. Lance was a whiny, selfish, egotistical moron who had a long history of starting trouble. If his own brother couldn't stand his attitude, then that shows that Tommy was never the problem. Lance was his own problem. GTA VCS clearly shows he has mooched off of his brother, as shown in his introduction appearance where he had the hotel bill Vic without his brother's consent and even left Vic to work on his empire buildings on his own while Lance is free to sample the coke behind Vic's back all for himself in the comfort of his own apartment building, showing while Lance loved his brother, he sure as hell didn't respect him. Lance thought he could do the same thing with Tommy, only to learn the hard way that Tommy was NOT Vic. Since Lance couldn't mooch off Tommy the same way he did Vic, he betrayed him out of pure spite. Face it, delusional fanboys! Lance was his own worst enemy! And that's a fact!
