[details inside] So the camera has three lenses on the back side. I believe they are for the 3 ranges available (0.6 to 1.0, 1.0 to 10.0 and 10.0 to 30.0). The camera works for the 2 outer ranges, but not for 1.0 to 20.0, which is ... irritating. When I open the camera app the default is 1.0 and the screen is black. I can zoom out to 0.9 and take a picture, or zoom in to above 10.0 and take a picture.
Things I have tried:
Clearing data and cache from the app
Restarting the phone
Other camera apps (same issue)
Things I have not tried (and may not be able to; it's a company phone)
Factory reset
Why did this happen? Dunno. The phone gets banged around a bit but I do not recall any major incident. There was a recent software update (One UI 8.5, Android 16) on June 11, maybe this is the issue but may also be a coincidence.
Any suggestions?
