Iconic Chaser Paul Sinha might be the best in his game, but he still gets jealous of other quiz legends.

The 55-year-old comedian was thrown off during Sunday's Beat The Chasers episode, where he recognised a contestant as a champion quizzer.

Surprisingly, Paul revealed he also had beef with Belfast's Brian Craythorne - who appeared as the final contestant to face the brain boxes on the show.

As host Bradley Walsh told him 'you look like a quizzer to me' the Chasers all began acknowledging their opponent.

Paul chimed in: "(He) was runner up in Ireland's Smartest, a TV show a couple of years ago, but he's put a lot in work and he's shot up the rankings, and I'm insanely jealous of how good you are, because a couple of weeks ago, we met in a Zoom room, and he played absolutely brilliantly, and his team thrashed our team.'

He joked: 'This is personal,' before Brian even had a chance to answer a question. 

'I did think at the time that was a bad move, yeah,' laughed.

Having gone through his cash builder he banked £3,000 and had the option of playing two Chasers for that amount, three Chasers for £30,000, four for £50,000 or five for a whopping £100,000.

Brian then opted for the £30,000 option saying he was still recovering from a question he had stumbled over during the cash builder.

Beat The Chasers viewers were left buzzing after Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha appeared to fumble two crucial questions - paving the way for an 84-year-old contestant to scoop £30,000.

Paul personally addressed him afterwards, adding: 'I've got to say, in all honesty, because I don't want to patronise you, but I don't think you'll go down as a Chase legend.'

Fans are now convinced the quiz master will be facing stern words from ITV bosses.

Last month, an edition of the hit spin-off saw Dorothy, a sprightly pensioner with a taste for adventure, instantly win over audiences as she explained her motivation for playing.

Opting against the maximum £100,000 prize, which would have meant facing five opponents, Dorothy instead chose to play three - Paul, Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan and Mark 'The Beast' Labbett - for the chance to win £30,000. 

The round appeared to be slipping away as the clock ticked down. But in dramatic scenes, Dorothy clinched victory after Paul stumbled not once but twice.

First, he buzzed in prematurely when Bradley began asking 'Who became Emperor…' blurting out 'Napoleon' before the question was complete.

The incorrect answer handed Dorothy precious seconds. Moments later, he jumped in again on the question: 'What Indian title means great king?' But a hesitation saw time run out, sealing Dorothy's triumph.

Throwing her arms out in celebration, Dorothy was embraced by Bradley, who congratulated her on the sensational win.
