Jenna Ortega was seen exploring Venice on Tuesday, just hours after arriving in Italy for the renowned film festival. 

The 21-year-old actress, whose eagerly awaited sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is set to open the festival, made a stylish impression in a short black mini skirt and matching top. 

Maintaining a low profile with dark sunglasses, she explored the city while accessorizing with a cream designer handbag and white high heels. 

During her outing, she frequently paused to capture photos of the stunning surroundings.

The Scream star — who plays Astrid Deetz, the daughter of Winona Ryder's Lydia Deetz in Tim Burton's sequel — was among several A-listers, including Angelina Jolie and Sigourney Weaver, arriving in Venice ahead of the film festival, which kicks off on Wednesday.

The outing comes after Jenna looked back on the time when she was mistakenly linked to Johnny Depp.

During a video interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, the actress was asked about the most outrageous rumor she had ever heard about herself. 

She pointed to the speculation that she was in a 'serious relationship' with 61-year-old Johnny Depp. 

The rumor gained traction last year when the two were falsely linked amid claims they were both involved with the Beetlejuice sequel. 

'Probably that I was in a serious relationship with Johnny Depp and I wanted everybody to leave us alone. It's so insane to me. Like I never spoke on that, I never said anything like that,' she told the outlet.

In the same interview, Jenna revealed she auditioned for Zendaya's Chani role in Denis Villeneuve's Dune movies. 

The actress shared that she auditioned for Dune when she was around 15, though she noted that the process was shrouded in secrecy. 

'I remember just being a big fan of that film and the franchise and everything like that and being really excited for that interview because Denis is one of my favorite filmmakers,' she added. 

When asked what role she believes she auditioned for, Ortega said, 'I think it was Chani, I think it was Zendaya’s, but they weren’t saying that, everything was very secret.'

Jenna recently shared her experience of meeting Winona for the first time on the set of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. 

'She was so warm and welcoming and kind and inviting right from the jump, and I couldn't be more grateful,' Ortega revealed to the New York Times. 

'The way Winona and I got along was quite weird. It was like we were reading each other's minds a little bit,' she added.
