And Cranky Users in general, and whoever found the backup files for our old images and added them back to the Image Library, and anybody else who’s doing wonderful things to get ready for the site migration to Word Press.

It’s only been five years, but the depth of my happiness right now is incredible.

I was writing, about six months ago (?), about a purse I’d made in 1974, which I still use on a daily basis, and realized — again — that I had no images available, because this was from a scan of a polaroid that was taken in the ‘80s, and the last backup had been 2 computers and three operating systems ago, and it had gone away at the end of 2019, when kos did a takedown of everything in the Image Library before 2016.

So, when kos announced that DK was moving to Word Press, I asked if the images could still be replaced, and he surprised me by saying that he’d found them, and yes, they could be replaced.

A day or two later, this diary by belinda ridgewood came up,

Then this followup, by Dartagnan:

REQUEST WINDOW CLOSED: We come not to bury your lost pre-2015 pics, but restore them!

So this morning I checked to see what had happened, and EEK!! — there they all were. 😉

In any case, I consider this a great beginning to the transfer process, and I thought I’d say it loudly.
