This is the horrifying moment when a car is broadsided by a huge articulated lorry as it drives across its path.

But what is most amazing about the footage is that the three people inside the car apparently survived relatively unscathed.

The film was taken from surveillance cameras in Hangzhou city in China's Zhejiang province.

It is not clear who had the right of way or why there were no traffic lights at the junction but the black SUV appears to drive directly across in front of the lorry. 

It fails to make it through the gap in time and is hit full on and then dragged up the road, where it becomes squashed between the truck and the side of a small bridge.

The lorry comes to a sickening halt with the SUV wedged under the front of the cab. But apparently nobody was seriously injured in the crash.
