One of our favorite websites is in trouble.

This site holds fundraisers from its members periodically but the cupboard is bare. There’s a falloff in interest, in willingness to commit, in the ability to come together as a community there that our site, DailyKos, has sometimes sparked them to in the past. I don’t know what we can do for them.

Their quarterly fundraiser for this quarter is into its 56th day and they can’t seem to manage that final 10%. This one started October 1… and is still going on!

Woe unto Freeperville!

(Lest one worry that this is a temporary condition brought about by the election season… the last fundraiser took 55 days to complete.)

Do you suppose Jim and his son will have to take a pay cut? It’d be too much to hope for that it goes dark, I suppose… it’d be nice for everyone to have to come up with their own conspiracy theories for a change, though. I’m sure we’d get far more creative stuff.
