ZINEGOAK presents its protocol for action and prevention against gender-based violence, anti-LGTBIQ+ discrimination and any other discriminatory behaviour or human rights violations. The aim of this protocol is to ensure that all festival activities take place in a respectful and violence-free environment.
We recognise that sexist and LGBTIQ+phobic violence are structural manifestations of inequality and discrimination. Consequently, we take collective responsibility for preventing and addressing them from a feminist, intersectional and community-based perspective.
This protocol applies to everyone associated with the festival, namely the organisers, staff, volunteers, artists, filmmakers, jury members, guests, collaborators, participants, the public and staff at the venues where ZINEGOAK’s activities take place.
ZINEGOAK DOESN´T TOLERATE:ZINEGOAK views culture as a space for encounter, social transformation and the defence of human rights. Therefore, everyone taking part in the festival shares the responsibility of helping to create safe spaces that are free from violence and respectful of diversity. In the event of non-compliance, the organisers reserve the right to restrict, suspend or deny access to and participation in the festival’s activities to those involved.
