The AirPods with cameras might be included in the AirPods Pro line instead of having the branding ‘AirPods Ultra’. A reference was found in macOS Tahoe 26.7 about the device being labeled AirPods Pro, but it could also be a placeholder.

Apple is thinking of releasing a couple of devices with the Ultra branding: the MacBook OLED with an OLED Display, iPhone Ultra being the foldable device, and then the AirPods Ultra.

The AirPods have two types, with both having codenames B790 and B798. These two devices have been progressing side by side as Apple is known for creating two versions of the same device to compete against each other. It is uncertain on if there will be differences between the two models, but a release for the AirPods is imminent with the reference in macOS Tahoe 26.7 hinting a debut soon.
