To the Editor A recent Editorial compellingly reframed coronary heart disease (CHD) as, in part, the vascular imprint of industrial lead exposure, challenging decades of risk attribution centered on individual behaviors. As estimates of lead-attributable cardiovascular burden expand, this perspective has important implications for prevention. An additional dimension, however, warrants consideration: how toxicologic burden is measured and operationalized within clinical and public health systems.
