Merged last week for the Linux 7.3 kernel were all the hardware monitoring (HWMON) driver updates for Linux 7.3, which included supporting several more ASUS desktop motherboards, a few AIO liquid cooling products, more Lenovo system support, and per-CCD temperature monitoring on AMD EPYC 9005 server processors.

With Linux 7.3, the ASUS EC Sensors driver added support for several more Intel and AMD desktop motherboards. That EC sensor monitoring driver now supports the ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING, ProArt Z690-CREATOR WIFI, ROG STRIX X870E-E GAMING WIFI7 R2, ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO, and ROG Maximus Z790 Hero motherboards.

The asus_rog_ryujin driver also added support for the ROG Ryujin III liquid cooling product. Also on the liquid cooling side is monitoring for the NZXT Kraken 2024 Elite with it being tacked onto the NZXT-Kraken3 driver.

The long-used AMD k10temp driver now supports per-CCD temperature monitoring on AMD EPYC Turin (Zen 5) server processors. It's a bit surprising it has taken until now for per-CCD temperature monitoring of EPYC 9005 processors under Linux, but it's here now. Per-CCD temperature monitoring was already working on the AMD Ryzen client processors but failing for the 5th Gen EPYC Turin server processors due to the larger number of maximum CCDs and also needing to expand the model range within one of the checks and setting the correct CCD offset.

Lenovo's Yogafan driver added monitoring for the Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9, XiaoXin Pro 13ARE 2020, IdeaPad 3 15ALC6, Legion Pro 7 16AFR10H, Yoga Pro 7 14IAH10, Yoga 7 16ARP8, and Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9 systems.

There is also a new driver introduced for temperature and voltage monitoring on the PolarFire SoC. There is also another new driver for the RISC-V Eswin EIC7700 PVT sensor.

More details on all the HWMON changes for Linux 7.3 via this pull request that already is merged to Git.
