The BBC have officially revealed the star-studded celebrity judges for series even of RuPaul's Drag Race on Thursday. 

The hit BBC Three and iPlayer show will see 12 new queens enter the 'werkroom' to take on outrageous challenges and battle for the crown as the UK's Next Drag Race Superstar. 

Guiding them through will be Mama Ru herself, joined once again by Alan Carr, Graham Norton and Michelle Visage.

This season's celebrity guest list is bigger than ever, among those set to join the judging panel are Derry Girls star Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Absolutely Fabulous legend Jane Horrocks and comedian and presenter Joel Dommett.

Also set to appear are Sugababes singer Mutya Buena, Girls Aloud icon Nadine Coyle, West End powerhouse Mazz Murray, actors Michelle de Swarte and Susan Wokoma, and BAFTA-winning comedian Sophie Willan.

Adding to the sparkle, radio host Jordan North will feature as a special guest, while acclaimed choreographer Claudimar Neto returns to put the queens through their paces on the dance floor.

Sharing her excitement, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell said the experience was 'absolute magic' and admitted she had been blown away by the queens' talent. 

Nadine Coyle, meanwhile, called her guest spot 'a dream come true' after previously being impersonated on the show's infamous Snatch Game.

Joel Dommett could not contain his enthusiasm, declaring: 'IM BAAACK B***HESSS! Can I say that? I'll pop some asterisks in it. 

'You can say any s**t using asterisks. Anyway - Guesting on RuPaul's Drag Race UK once is a dream, but twice? It's the best fun. It's like drag Disneyland. I can't wait to watch me watching it all!'

Jane Horrocks also admitted she 'wanted them all to win', while Michelle de Swarte teased that the new series would deliver 'drama, fashion, runway looks to die for, and the kind of complicated relationships that make you happy the days are shorter and the nights are longer!'

Mutya Buena described joining the panel as 'an honour', Sophie Willan said she laughed, gasped and became 'very emotionally invested' and Susan Wokoma admitted she was 'absolutely beside myself' to be a part of it.

Meanwhile, Jordan North confessed that even his friends did not believe him when he revealed he had a role on the show, and choreographer Claudimar Neto promised routines that celebrated the queens' individuality and power.

Daily Mail revealed last year how Rileasa Slaves left RuPaul furious and was forced to change her name for the show.

The 32-year-old St Lucian queen's stage name may seem scandalous and outright offensive to some but loyal Drag Race fans know this is nothing out of the ordinary.

In fact, Rileasa belongs to a drag house called The Haus of Emancipation and is the 'drag daughter' of Frieda Slaves, who acts as her mentor. 

But the reigning queen of drag and host RuPaul himself was less than impressed with the name choice, resulting in an explosive row between the two which was cut from the show.

Rileasa revealed to Daily Mail that RuPaul told her to change her name during the design challenge on episode two.

'No, I quite like it,' the rebellious queen quipped back, refusing to bow down to 'Mama Ru's' orders.

Hailing from the colonial Caribbean island of St Lucia, Rileasa had some strong feelings about Ru's attempt to change a name that means a lot to her.

She said: 'I don't care if I make people feel uncomfortable. I'm happy my name is starting conversations. I am keeping it.'

The star even wore a technicolour patterned dress inspired by the national dress of St Lucia, The Wob Dwiyet, on the first runway.

But it wasn't just a beautiful dress, it was a political statement as the origins of the traditional dress are rooted in the pre-emancipation days of St. Lucia, when Africans were taken there and enslaved.

Despite all of this, Ru appeared unphased by Rileasa's opinion and intention, opting to call her 'Rileasa Lisa' for the rest of the season instead.
