Chattanooga will launch a City-Wide Karaoke Contest on Thursday. The multi-week competition invites singers from across the region to participate. The contest will run through October 10, culminating in the finals on Thursday, Oct. 15 at Dave & Buster’s. 

The event is free to participate, and all skill levels are welcome. 

The contest will take place at four locations, four nights a week, with one city–wide champion. Each week, four popular venues will host karaoke competitions, giving participants multiple chances to take the stage and qualify for the finals. 

Weekly Karaoke Schedule: 

• Tuesdays • 8 p.m.–midnight 
– Whiskey Cowgirl – 1819 Broad St.

in Chattanooga 
– DJ Sue & Steven Underwood 

• Thursdays • 7–10:30 p.m. 
– WXYZ Bar – 2090 Hamilton Pl. in Chattanooga  
– DJ Danz & Curtis Danz 

• Fridays • 8 p.m.–midnight  
–  Mas Tequila – 4134 Ringgold Road in East Ridge  
– DJ Fred & Fred Watson 

• Saturdays • 9 p.m.–1 a.m.  
– Backstage Bar – 29 Station St. in Chattanooga  
– Mr. Lister & Jay Young 

The final night to compete at any of the four weekly locations is Oct. 10. Top performers from each venue will advance to the city-wide finals at Dave & Buster’s on Oct. 15 to compete for the top three cash prizes and the title of City-Wide Karaoke Champion. 

Prizes: 
• first place – $300 
• second place – $200 
• third place – $100 

All three winners will also earn the opportunity to perform live at the Walk Run Pedal Jamz Festival on Oct. 31 at the Chattanooga Green (Ross’s Landing).
