TEHRAN, September 23. /TASS/. Iran will not resume negotiations with the United States or reopen the Strait of Hormuz until Washington accepts the seven conditions previously put forward by Tehran, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei said.

"We will not return to the past, to the situation with the Islamabad Memorandum or what came before it. Unless the United States fulfills the seven conditions put forward by Iran, neither will the Strait of Hormuz be reopened nor will negotiations begin," he told Iranian state television.

According to Rezaei, Iran is in no rush to negotiate because the United States must first "earn the trust of the Iranian people." He also noted that the current seven conditions are fundamentally different from the previous ones.
