But there’s more to this document than what I just told you. It also claimed that:

• Christians “should embrace” Muslim immigrants to their countries “with affection and respect” (n. 45).
• The Church was “reserved or distant” prior to Vatican II (n. 57), and characterized by “attitudes of exclusion, contempt, or indifference” (n. 9).
• Interreligious dialogue is “an essential dimension” of the Church’s mission (n. 46).

Satan must have been laughing when that document was published.

When the faith is attacked, Catholics are obliged to raise their voices and profess their faith.

“The faithful of Christ,” canon law says, “are bound to profess their faith whenever their silence, evasiveness, or manner of acting encompasses:

An implied denial of the faith

• Contempt for religion
• Injury to God, or
• Scandal for a neighbor.

And which Catholic media outlets “professed the faith” after this travesty?

All I saw in the 24-48 hours after the document was released were a few neutral stories – with most outlets not reporting anything about it at all.

Friends, this is the sorry state of Catholic media in the Leo XIV era.
