Surveillance video shows man rob Bucks County laundromat twice in 3 days

The owner of Feasterville Laundromat told NBC10’s Deanna Durante that the cost of getting robbed twice in three days goes far beyond the $7,500 in cash that was taken
According to investigators, 37-year-old Stanley Petroski, of Philadelphia, was seen on surveillance video breaking the laundromat in Feasterville, Bucks County, at around 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, by using a metal cutting tool to get in through the back of the business.
Petroski, who spray painted the camera to try to hide his identity, got away with $3,500 from the business’ bill to bill exchanger, police said.
Then, on Saturday, Sept. 19, again at around 2:15 a.m., police said that Petroski broke a second time and took $4,000 from a second change machine. The business’ owner had cleaned the surveillance camera, which caught Petroski for a second time, police said.
During the investigation, detectives also learned that Petroski had been previously arrested for robbing Feasterville Laundromat once before, in 2022. In the first incident, Petroski took an entire bill to bill exchanger, police said.
The owner of the laundromat, who did not want his name used for this story, said that he actually lost $28,000 due to the robberies when taking into account the damage to his change machines, security cameras and doors. Plus, the cost of his insurance has gone up since the robbery in 2022.
“The damage he’s done to the society is very bad,” he said. “Because this is the place where people come to clean their clothes. They do two jobs and even do three jobs somebody and they thank us for opening 24 hours. They are so happy. Nobody here does that, but we do it.”
The owner said he has already bought new security cameras and a security system, but the loss of property he worked years to build still hurts.
“To build that, it took six years to get those machines,” he said. “We worked every single day to get them, and he tore it in two hours.”
An arrest warrant was issued for Petroski and he was located at a CVS in Feasterville on Sunday, Sept. 20, police said. However, when officers went to arrest Petroski he resisted, police said, and attempted to grab an officer’s holstered handgun.
The officer was able to prevent Petroski from getting the gun, and he was ultimately taken into custody, police said. He faces two charges of burglary and other charges related to the thefts, as well as charges for resisting arrest and attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer.
As of Monday night, Petroski remained at Bucks County Jail with $250,000 bail, according to court documents. Police are also asking anyone with additional information on Petroski to come forward because they are trying to learn more about him.
