MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. The federal budget's non-oil and gas deficit will decrease to 5% of GDP in 2027-2029, which is the lowest level since 2008, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at a cabinet meeting.

"The strengthening and sustainability of the revenue base will continue. The share of non-oil and gas revenues will consistently exceed 80% of total revenues. The non-oil and gas deficit will shrink to 5% of gross domestic product, which is the lowest level since 2008," he said.

Siluanov also reiterated that the key priorities of the draft budget for the upcoming three-year period include fulfilling the state's social obligations, financially supporting the country's defense and security needs, supporting participants in the special military operation and their families, and ensuring technological leadership and infrastructure development.
