MOSCOW, September 25. /TASS/. Gazprom Group increased pipeline gas supplies to CIS-countries by 29% in the first half of 2026, according to the issuer's report.

"The total volume of Russian pipeline gas supplies to the markets of CIS-countries in the first half of 2026 significantly exceeded (by 29%) the level seen in the same period of the previous year. This growth in supplies is primarily driven by increased gas sales volumes to Kazakhstan," the document said.

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairkhan Tutkyshbayev reported that Kazakhstan and Gazprom had signed a supplementary agreement to their gas supply contract, with the parties planning to move on to discussing a long-term agreement by the end of the year. According to him, Kazakhstan will purchase approximately 11 bln cubic meters of gas from Gazprom in 2026, up from 4 bln cubic meters the previous year, while supplies of around 9 bln cubic meters are being discussed for 2027.

Meanwhile, in September 2026, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller stated that the holding company had increased its combined gas supplies to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan by nearly 70% this year.
