Will it still resonate on the 666th run?

Control Resonant's upside down world is out now, but Remedy Entertainment's not done with the RPG just yet. The Alan Wake and Max Payne maker has detailed some of its post-launch plans for the game, which currently include new outfits, a Photo Mode and a New Game Plus Plus option for anyone who wants to carry their progress over into neverending playthroughs.

"We are following your comments and feedback, and wanted to talk about a few things we are working on as we head into post launch," Remedy wrote in today's blog post. First up is New Game Plus Plus - that's not a typo, it's double the pluses - set to come out sometime in October.

Control Resonant's current New Game Plus mode lets you keep most of Dylan Faden's paranatural upgrades in a fresh playthrough - except for traversal abilities, which would likely lead to messy sequence breaks. "We're preparing an update that will add... wait for it... New Game++, which means you can start NG+ run after NG+ run, without needing to erase all your progress," Remedy wrote. "Do 665 runs if you want!"

An update in November should also bring a much-needed Photo Mode to the game. Remedy's worlds are always gorgeous and Control Resonant's freaky, lopsided Manhattan is no different, so it's not surprising to hear players have been asking for a way to snap in-game pictures.

"We hear you, you want it, and we want to get it into your hands," said Remedy. The studio's apparently been cooking the feature for a while and have even consulted real-life virtual photographers, but Photo Mode didn't make the cut on day one "because we needed to prioritize making sure the game was in the best possible shape."

Finally, Remedy is also working on more cosmetics for Dylan. "We've seen some... eclectic outfit combinations. You can look forward to more cosmetic pieces for our favorite former coma patient/prisoner/fashion icon in future updates," Remedy said, though it didn't put out a release window for those of you treating Resonant like a dress-up sim.
