Disney is raising US prices for Disney+ and Hulu again, with the standalone ad-free plans for both services climbing from $18.99 to $21.49 per month. The increase comes exactly one year after the previous price hike, and Disney says the ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle, its most popular option, stays at $12.99 per month.
The standalone ad-free rise works out to $2.50 per month, or about 13.2%. Disney cites continued investment in new technology, features, and personalization as the reason for the change.
New Disney+ and Hulu Prices for Each PlanHulu + Live TV customers see the largest monthly increases in the lineup. At the other end, the bundles now cost just 50 cents more than a single standalone subscription on the same tier.
"While competitors have raised prices by an average of 13% this year, we are keeping the price of our most popular bundle unchanged and have increased our standalone ad-supported offerings by just 4%," a Disney spokesperson said.
Disney+ Ad-Free Price History Since 2019This is the sixth increase to the Disney+ ad-free plan since launch, with one rise in each year from 2021 through 2026. Disney+ launched in November 2019 at $6.99 per month. The price moved to $7.99 in 2021, $10.99 in 2022, $13.99 in 2023, $15.99 in 2024, and $18.99 in 2025, before reaching $21.49 in September 2026.
That is $14.50 more per month than at launch, a 207.4% increase. The ad-free plan now costs just over three times its original price.
Subscribers who pay for Disney+ and Hulu separately are the most exposed. Compared with buying both services on their own, the bundles save about 48% on the ad-supported tier and 49% on the ad-free tier, so switching is the most direct way to limit the increase:
Subscribers who only use one service and can accept ads face the smallest change, a 50 cent rise to $12.49. The figures cover US plans, and Disney has not detailed matching changes for other markets.
