TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Feeding Tampa Bay was one of hundreds of recipients of Publix Super Markets Charities’ donation to help people experiencing food insecurity.

Publix presented a check to Feeding Tampa Bay for $1.058 million on Thursday.

PSMC will donate $25 million to 350 local food banks and other nonprofit organizations, including 43 Feeding America partner food banks. 

“By working with our food bank partners, we can better identify where our support can make the greatest difference,” Publix Charities Executive Director John Doran said. “We’re proud to help these organizations expand their services and bring hope to even more people.”

The donation will be PSMC’s largest donation to date.
