Founded in 2020 by Caroline Vanderlip, Re:Dish developed its business to address the substantial volume of disposable packaging generated by commercial and institutional foodservice operations.

The company estimates that approximately 1 trillion single-use foodservice products are disposed of annually, creating demand for systems that can reduce reliance on disposable containers.

Re:Dish offers a turnkey model designed to minimize the operational requirements associated with reusable packaging.

Its services allow corporate offices, institutions, and other organizations to introduce reusable dishware without having to independently develop collection infrastructure, industrial cleaning capabilities, or container management systems.

Since its launch, Re:Dish has diverted more than 9 million single-use packaging items from landfills and enabled over 200,000 people to participate in reuse programs.

Its customer relationships include major institutional and corporate organizations, including Barclays Bank.

For Circular Services, the acquisition expands its ability to address several material streams through a single service relationship.

Customers can now combine recycling, composting, and foodservice reuse programs rather than working with separate providers for each function.

This integrated approach is intended to improve operational efficiency while giving organizations additional options for managing packaging and other materials that would otherwise enter conventional waste disposal systems.

The acquisition also provides Re:Dish with access to Circular Services’ broader customer relationships and materials management infrastructure.

By combining the businesses, Circular Services intends to address customer requirements extending beyond traditional recycling and composting.

The company sees an opportunity to expand reuse programs among organizations seeking to reduce disposal costs, improve waste diversion, and gain greater visibility into their materials management activities.

The transaction marks an expansion of Circular Services’ operations into a category focused on keeping products in use for longer periods rather than processing materials after disposal.
