MOSCOW, September 28. /TASS/. The production volume of domestic computers, electronic and optical items was over four trillion rubles ($47.3 bln) in 2025, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in his video address to participants in the Microelectronics 2026 forum.

"The volume of computers, electronic and optical devices production as of the end of the last year is estimated at the level over four trillion rubles, which is almost 20% more than indicators of the prior period," he noted.

Positive production dynamics in this sector continues in 2026, Mishustin stressed. The product portfolio of this sphere has expanded significantly and comprises about 39,000 Russian solutions for the time being, the prime minister noted.

The sector faces significant tasks at present, the prime minister said. The government has accordingly revised approaches towards management of the sector, consolidating efforts and resources for the balanced growth of competences in this science-consuming sphere, he added.

In particular, special attention is now paid to ensure a quicker path for looking-forward developments from a laboratory to series production.
